The London Midland Society is a 100% voluntary run organisation and the progression of the restoration of 4123 depends entirely on contributions from our members and from donations. Even though the LMS carries out much of its work in-house, restoring a locomotive from scrapyard condition does require a considerable amount of money!
It has often been said that the only way to make a small amount of money from a steam locomotive is to start with a large amount of money!
If you would like to assist with the restoration by making a donation, there are at present three ways in which you can do this:
1) Donate via PayPal
2) Donate via cheque:
Please make your cheque payable to ‘The London Midland Society’, and send it to:
Mr C.M. Hellings, London Midland Society, c/o 38 Allison Road, Bristol, BS4 4PN.
3) Donate in person to members of the London Midland Society at our restoration base at the Avon Valley Railway.
We are extremely grateful for any donations, large or small. You can be assured that your donation will be used wisely, and will make a big difference to the restoration project.
Thank you in advance.
